A Tailored, Step-by-Step Journey
Our course is structured into 10 carefully designed units that introduce musical concepts gradually. Pupils build a strong foundation while enjoying real musical progress from the very first lesson.
-
Unit 1: Pupils begin with middle C and the two notes either side, learning to play with both hands and read simple notation on the grand staff.
-
Units 2–5: Focus on middle C hand position, reinforcing note-reading skills and introducing musical elements like rhythm, dynamics, articulation, and more.
-
Units 6–10: Expand into new hand positions and keys, offering a broader and more challenging musical experience.
By the end of the course, pupils will be ready to play Initial Grade standard pieces and transition confidently into traditional piano music.
Lesson Format: What to Expect
Each 30-minute online lesson is tailored to your child’s individual needs and learning style. A typical lesson includes:

-
New Challenges: Goals are set for the week ahead and new material or musical concepts are introduced.
-
Creative Composition: Pupils take part in fun, age-appropriate composition tasks to deepen their understanding of music.
-
Musical Fun: Lessons finish with a game or interactive activity to keep learning light and enjoyable.
The Video Course: Learn in 3 Clear Steps
Each piece in the video course is taught through a proven, structured approach:
Step 1: Watch
Notes, rhythms, and fingerings are introduced using colour-coded visuals.
Step 2: Learn
Pupils play along with the coloured guidance, encouraging them to read ahead and build fluency.
Step 3: Perform
The colours are removed, helping pupils focus on the printed music and play independently with confidence.
